To get a motorcycle driver’s licence, you need to pay $548 to buy a learner’s driver licence and $510 for the exam fee. The total amount you have to pay to the Hong Kong Government is $1,058.

Driving Lesson Package from Lee Kin Driving School

Motorcycle driving lesson package
-Indoor lessons (3 days of lessons, 4 hours each lesson)

1st Payment: Payable when you first register for the driving lesson package

2nd Payment:Payable when you take your first indoor lesson

3rd Payment:Payable upon passing your indoor exam

Written Test
First of all, you need to take a written test. If you have already passed the written test in Hong Kong, you do not need to take the written test.

Indoor Exam
After you pass the written test, you need to take an indoor exam in Kwun Tong near Kwun Tong Harbour. An English Instructor will teach you how to control a motorcycle in an enclosed parking area (3 days of lesson, 4 hours everyday). The lessons include 3 theory lessons and 9 driving lessons.

Approximately 3 weeks after completion of all indoor lessons, you will have your indoor exam. After you pass the indoor exam, visit our office to sign documents and pay for a learner’s driver’s licence. If you have already paid the one time payment of $4,648 in the beginning when you first register for the course, you do not need to pay for the learner’s driver’s licence again. Upon passing your indoor exam and receiving all payments, Lee Kin Driving School will also apply for your outdoor exam on your behalf.

Outdoor Exam
Location of the outdoor exam: Tin Kwong Road in Ho Man Tin (near Mongkok).

For the Outdoor Exam, you will have four lessons with an English instructor. You will practice in Ho Man Tin where you will take the outdoor exam.? Furthermore, you will have four lessons where you practice by your own. If you would like to take more lessons with the English instructor after two lessons, it costs $150 per 45 minute lesson with the purchase of at least two lessons every time.

Upon passing the outdoor exam, you need to pay $90 to apply for a probationary motorcycle driver’s licence which is valid for one year. If you do not get into any serious traffic accident within the following year (1 year), you can apply for a permanent motorcycle driver’s licence.
